The Better Menu for “Moral Police” : Don’t Enforce
Everyone wants to be a ‘Hero’. And why not?! – No, I don’t have answer for this actually. Oh yes! may be all of them are inspired by watching “The Justice League”, “Teen Titans”, “X-Men”, “The Legion of Super Heroes” (without any special power of course duhh!). This inspiration led them to become a “Moral Police”.
The Group (Gang) consists of various unemployed & Low IQ youngsters along with highly intelligent not so sincere brats, housewives who are bored of hosting kitty parties or ones who doesn’t get invited to it, respected grumpy old retired citizens who are tired of fighting mosquitoes with their bare hands, those wanna be leaders, those who are progressive goons wanna be politicians, with support of politicians who wanna manipulate these bunch of admirable, easily manipulated good for nothing ladies and gentleman for their own benefit of creating news in society.
And What are the jobs for which they do self-appointing for? Suppose to be I guess “Protect the Indian Culture”. I don’t think of anything else because I haven’t heard or read anywhere about what exactly they do other than “enforcing” the culture. For 2 Reasons Moral Police has been famous for is Bangalore Bar incident in which they had beaten ladies and other one is for opposing Valentine’s Day.
First, Beating up girls because they drink is not right. I would agree that drinking shouldn’t be allowed not because of gender discrimination, but for very simple reason that drinking is not good for health and excessive drinking takes life off track, often dragging family along with it. However, it is right of everyone to decide what he or she chooses to do but is responsibility of her/his family to keep them off the track and punish them. It is not the job of ‘Moral Police’ to humiliate, dictate, enforce their thoughts with force on any person.
Second, Harassing and Humiliating Young Couples on Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s 21st Century or had it been 19th or 18th or any time, each individual has right to express his/her love and go out spend sometime together – without offending anyone, maintaining self-respect, respecting others and Public display of affection must be controlled maintaining level of respect. We should not cross our freedom and be responsible in society. Moral Police must not search, track, follow any individuals to embarrass and humiliate them, even sometime with force. It is again responsibility of their family. Most Importantly, moral police should not damage and destroy property of people who are running gift shops for their bread and butter. That is criminal activity.
How can you can handle situations better? Don’t act like an enforcer. Be Polite and request. Protest Peacefully but do not enforce. We all understand values of our culture and we all are well aware of which level it has fallen in today’s time. We do need a way to maintain our values, but responsibility should be taught, not enforced. Moral Policing is not a good term. Policing is not proper way. Go and Watch Munnabhai MBBS or Lage Raho Munnabhai. Get the point!
And if such groups just wants to keep policing, than here is the Better Menu:
- Go on the Borders and Protect Citizens
- Give a Helping Hands when Natural Disasters Happen
- Give a Hand keeping City Clean
- Go and Manage Traffic where its necessary
- Follow Rules, Set a good Example and Request others to do Same.
Get some Brain and Do things the way People respect you. Do not act like local goons gang because it many not turn out good if just few percent out of billion plus populated country returns the same treatment as a favor.
